Nuts

Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT®) provides outstanding shell separation performance for the industrial processing of almonds, pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecan nuts, macadamia nuts, cashews and all other types of nut.

This enables the system to deal brilliantly with major defects, removing up to 50% of shell parts straight after the cracker, and simultaneously all foreign bodies, whether they are part of the nut itself or not, wood, insects, plastic, stones, metal or glass splinters, to ensure the highest food safety standards. In‑line monitoring of water content prevents mold formation. Insort is also the only player in the market to offer sorting for rancid nuts (patent pending).
